My mom commented on this collage:
"My granddaughter grows, but Corey stays the same!"
I added:
"It looks to me like Corey's love is growing also (and these two pictures do show it). And even if his hair starts having silver shine it only demonstrates he also grows, gets mature: it shows his experience, wisdom, how many difficulties he overcame (including stress from his wife of course - that is part of the game that can't be cancelled), problem solved, all his achievements and success, how many houses he built and took millions of decisions... How many tons of material objects he moved... How many trees he planted... If I had to choose I would choose him as he is now: his appearance and his inner world, strength. And I would choose my own appearance and inner world as is too as everyone who is around us is our mirror. And I wouldn't change any wrinkle on my face for anything ...This is my maturity, dignity, self-worth, love and acceptance (My landscape). I let myself be myself. Then I can share love and acceptance with others. "
My mom replied:
"Yes, I agree completely!!!❤️❤️❤️I consider him as a gift from God for us!!!🙏🙏🙏many years of happiness, love, kindness to you🩷🩷🩷You are lucky to meet and choose such a man💪💪💪. Corey is the best man in the world."
Me:
"Yes, that's right! Corey is the best man in the world for me and somewhere in the world there is the best man for you! And I'm very grateful! And all because you are the best mom on earth for me!!! After all, a woman's man as well as man's woman is a reflection of her/his mother or perception of (or willingness to not notice) some parts of her mother.
Low bows to you, mommy, for all your unconditional love, acceptance, wisdom, care, support, empathy, understanding!!! Thank you for all your gifts!!! As Angelina loves and reverently treats all your gifts, so do I. I'm deeply grateful for everything!!! Love you!!! I hug you by soul!!!"
And many many many thanks to you, my honey, Corey Schmidt ! For who you are and all the path you went and all the efforts you took!!! Many Thanks to your parents!!! They surely did a great job, Lynn Schmidt and Ellen Schmidt! And to your brother Matt Schmidt and his big warm beautiful family!
And of course I'm grateful to Angelina as reflection of our inner children! We love you! And very grateful you are part of our lives! Letting us playing our roles as mom (that's the best job I've ever had!) and dad.
And of course I can't stop feeling grateful to my Dad, to all relatives, neighbors and friends and colleagues and everyone in our lives!
